Joyous music filled the air while members of the The Agape Church of God in Christ in Killeen and youth walked around the chapel hall greeting new people and taking selfies with them, kicking off the 2nd annual "I'm Soul Out for Jesus" youth conference and sneaker ball. Coco Johnson, the church's media relations specialist and youth president, the importance of investing in the youth. "They are our future” she said, “and if we don’t invest in them, our road ahead can be destroyed. Imparting God into their life helps them handle problems like anxiety and stress and this conference helps gives them the tools to conquer those obstacles" 

During the conference the church gave away backpacks with school supplies as well dorm essentials for older members who are attending college. Musical guest William Mcvade energized the crowd throughout the day with high energy praise songs and Lousianna based guest speaker and rapper Dee-1 later spoke to the young conference attendees about living in positivity and not negativity.

The conference leads the church’s first ever sneaker ball.
