Providing scholarships to help educate our next leaders

Every year the Killeen branch of the NAACP awards several dozen students scholarships to help them in their educational journey.  With the theme, stay engaged, stay focused, and stay wide. Daryl Henson, superintendent for the Marlin Independent School District was the keynote speaker and spoke of being a servant leader, “ Know who you are, look good and be smart. But if you can’t serve others … then what frankly are you doing on this earth?”
