If you're looking to immerse yourself in a celebration of culture, history, and freedom, look no further than a Texas Juneteenth Festival. Juneteenth, observed on June 19th, commemorates the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom, marking the official end of slavery in the United States. This pivotal moment in history is honored with vibrant festivals across Texas, and they are not to be missed.

Starting with a 5k race, followed by a NAACP led parade, the Killeen Juneteenth Festival downtown brought together community members from across the city to celebrate the longstanding Texas event. With dozens of vendors, music, food and activities for the kids all meant to join us together and sing.
