Operation Stand Down Central Texas (OSDCT) hosted its 2nd Annual Vet Fest on October 5, 2024, at Copperas Cove City Park. The event celebrated veterans while raising awareness and funds for OSDCT’s mission to support homeless veterans and their families. Veteran-owned businesses, food trucks, and various service organizations were set up to provide resources for veterans and their loved ones. Attendees enjoyed live music, participated in a cornhole tournament, and engaged in family-friendly activities, including bounce houses.

The festival ran from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering free admission for walk-ins, with a $5 fee for parking. Proceeds from the event, raffle tickets, and an online auction helped fund OSDCT’s ongoing programs, including their new building project. Vet Fest created an opportunity for the community to connect with and support veterans in a meaningful way, ensuring a fun-filled day while contributing to a noble cause.
